Bryan Shaw boasts a 1.54 ERA over 18 appearances in his first season for the Indians. Acquired from the Diamondbacks as a bit player in January's complicated three-team trade, Shaw has been a linchpin in Cleveland's bullpen, compiling a 1.07 WHIP and 23/7 K/BB ratio in 23 1/3 innings. He's only earned two holds, however, and they came in consecutive appearances earlier this month. |

Josh Tomlin (Tommy John surgery) could return near the end of the season. Tomlin went under the knife last August. At this point in his rehab, it's hard to predict if a 2013 return is in the cards. Tomlin has said he'd rather be 100 percent for 2014 rather than making a premature late-season return this year. The right-hander posted a 6.36 ERA in 16 starts and five relief appearances with the Indians last season. |

Carlos Santana went 1-for-2 with four walks in Thursday's blowout win against the Boston. He also scored three runs. Santana owners enjoyed a spectacular April out of their star catcher and then suffered through a rough May prior to Wednesday (182/.316/.333). In Cleveland's last two games, Santana is 3-for-6 with a homer, five walks, two RBI and four runs. He's third in the AL in walks (29) and fourth in OPS (.975). |

Mark Reynolds went 3-for-4 with a walk, the RBI and a run scored in Thursday's win over the Red Sox. As has been the case for most of the season, Reynolds hit the ball with authority. Reynolds' batting average has dropped off somewhat, but .261 is far better than his owners expected out of the .236 career hitter. Through 45 games played, Reynolds is fifth in the AL with 12 homers, fourth in RBI with 40 and 10th in slugging with a .535 mark. |

Zach McAllister permitted three runs on five hits and three walks over five frames in Thursday's 12-3 drubbing of the Red Sox. McAllister was hardly sharp, but in a game where Cleveland had 12 runs before he was pulled, he didn't really have to be. The 25-year-old right-hander saw his streak of four straight starts allowing two runs or fewer snapped, but improved to 4-3 nonetheless. McAllister holds a 2.89 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 39/17 K/BB rate over nine starts. |

Bryan Shaw boasts a 1.54 ERA over 18 appearances in his first season for the Indians. Acquired from the Diamondbacks as a bit player in January's complicated three-team trade, Shaw has been a linchpin in Cleveland's bullpen, compiling a 1.07 WHIP and 23/7 K/BB ratio in 23 1/3 innings. He's only earned two holds, however, and they came in consecutive appearances earlier this month.
Josh Tomlin (Tommy John surgery) could return near the end of the season. Tomlin went under the knife last August. At this point in his rehab, it's hard to predict if a 2013 return is in the cards. Tomlin has said he'd rather be 100 percent for 2014 rather than making a premature late-season return this year. The right-hander posted a 6.36 ERA in 16 starts and five relief appearances with the Indians last season.
Carlos Santana went 1-for-2 with four walks in Thursday's blowout win against the Boston. He also scored three runs. Santana owners enjoyed a spectacular April out of their star catcher and then suffered through a rough May prior to Wednesday (182/.316/.333). In Cleveland's last two games, Santana is 3-for-6 with a homer, five walks, two RBI and four runs. He's third in the AL in walks (29) and fourth in OPS (.975).
Mark Reynolds went 3-for-4 with a walk, the RBI and a run scored in Thursday's win over the Red Sox. As has been the case for most of the season, Reynolds hit the ball with authority. Reynolds' batting average has dropped off somewhat, but .261 is far better than his owners expected out of the .236 career hitter. Through 45 games played, Reynolds is fifth in the AL with 12 homers, fourth in RBI with 40 and 10th in slugging with a .535 mark.
Zach McAllister permitted three runs on five hits and three walks over five frames in Thursday's 12-3 drubbing of the Red Sox. McAllister was hardly sharp, but in a game where Cleveland had 12 runs before he was pulled, he didn't really have to be. The 25-year-old right-hander saw his streak of four straight starts allowing two runs or fewer snapped, but improved to 4-3 nonetheless. McAllister holds a 2.89 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 39/17 K/BB rate over nine starts.
Drew Stubbs tripled, doubled twice and drove in three runs as the Indians beat the Red Sox 12-3 on Thursday. Stubbs merits as an everyday right fielder can be debated, but he is hitting better than he did last year, with a .255/.304/.403 line through 149 at-bats. And fortunately for his fantasy owners, the Indians lineup has been better than expected, giving him more chances to score and drive in runs from the ninth spot than anticipated.
Michael Bourn went 3-for-6 with a double and two RBI against the Red Sox on Thursday. Having no trouble adjusting to the league switch, Bourn is batting .320 through 97 at-bats this season. His career high is .294 from 2011, and he finished at .274 last year with the Braves.
The Cleveland Indians have recalled left-hander Scott Barnes and designated Huff for assignment. Huff appeared in three games with the Indians, all in relief, and had a 0-0 record with a 15.00 ERA. In an 11-7 loss to the Detroit Tigers on Wednesday night, he gave up three runs and four hits in one inning.

Assuming his velocity comes back up the next time out, he could rejoin the Indians' rotation after that.

Carlos Santana went 2-for-4 with a home run in the loss to the Tigers on Wednesday. After a red hot April, Santana was hitting just .182/.316/.333 heading into Wednesday's game. Backup catcher Yan Gomes has been playing more frequently lately, but Santana's bat plays at first base and he even gets an occasional game at DH, too. No matter how they arrange it, Santana will be in the middle of the Indians lineup more often than not.
Michael Brantley went 3-for-5 with three RBI in the Indians' loss to the Tigers on Wednesday. Brantley did all his damage with three singles, bringing his RBI count to 24 and his batting average to .309 in the process. And the left fielder is 7-for-16 (.438) in his last four games with nine RBI in those 16 at-bats. The 26-year-old is well on his way to an encore of a 2012 season in which he hit .288 with 37 doubles.
Ubaldo Jimenez allowed six runs over four innings in the Indians' loss to the Tigers on Wednesday. Jimenez had been on a bit of a roll before Wednesday, having not allowed more than two runs in any of his previous four starts. But the Tigers got to Jimenez for seven hits and three walks in his shortest outing since April 16. His next start will come Monday against the Reds.
Nick Swisher is scheduled to return on Friday. Swisher has been on the paternity leave list since Tuesday afternoon. His wife gave birth to a baby girl.
Bourn was 2 for 4 in Cleveland's 5-1 loss to Detroit on Tuesday. Bourn is 9 for 22 over his last five games, raising his average from .281 to .314.
Corey Kluber allowed three runs in 6 1/3 innings as the Indians lost to the Tigers on Tuesday. Kluber was good until the sixth inning, when he allowed homers to Andy Dirks and Miguel Cabrera. Otherwise, Kluber struck out eight and was generally effective. The right-hander moved to 3-3 with the loss. His next start comes Sunday against the Red Sox.
The Indians have placed Swisher on the paternity list after he and his wife welcomed their first child. The club made the move with Swisher before Tuesday's series opener against Detroit. The first-place Indians, who have won five straight and 18 of 22, lead the Tigers in the AL Central by 2 1-2 games. Swisher's wife, JoAnna, had a girl. He must remain on the paternity list one to three days.
Indians recalled INF Cord Phelps from Triple-A Columbus. Phelps will give the Indians some infield depth while Nick Swisher spends a few days with his wife and new baby daughter. Phelps was batting .233/.318/.431 with five homers and 19 RBI in 30 games at Triple-A.

Gomes hit a walkoff three-run homer Monday - his second long ball of the day - as Cleveland completed a four-game sweep of Seattle with a 10-8, 10-inning victory. While he's not plating every day, Gomes has gone 9 for 20 (.450) during a five-game hitting streak.
Yan Gomes slugged two home runs -- including a 10th-inning walkoff -- in Monday's 10-8 defeat of the Mariners. Gomes hit a solo shot in the bottom of the second inning and then played the hero by cranking a three-run blast in the bottom of the 10th with the Indians trailing by two. Gomes finished with four RBI and now has nine RBI in 17 games this season to go along with a cool .951 OPS. He should start seeing a bit more regular playing time.
Scott Kazmir was shelled for five earned runs over three innings Monday in a no-decision vs. Seattle. It was Kazmir's worst start of the 2013 season. He yielded seven hits and two walks while throwing only 37 of his 63 pitches for strikes and the Mariners were able to take advantage. The left-hander showed real signs of promise earlier this month, but he can no longer be trusted in standard mixed fantasy leagues. Kazmir will carry a 6.35 ERA and 1.62 WHIP into his next outing against a good Red Sox offense.
Brett Myers (elbow) will make his second minor league rehab start on Wednesday at Double-A Akron. Myers threw 33 pitches last week in his first rehab start and will probably try to top 50 pitches on Wednesday. He'll make at least one more start in the minors after that before being considered for activation. The right-hander is attempting to pitch through a UCL tear.
Lou Marson (shoulder) admitted Monday that there is no timetable for his return to the Indians' active roster. Marson has begun throwing but is not yet performing any other baseball activities due to lingering soreness in his shoulder and neck. "It's definitely frustrating," the catcher told MLB.com. "I know what it is and kind of what I have to do. Hopefully, I can get on the field soon."
Brantley went 2 for 4 with a homer and four RBIs in Sunday's 6-0 win over Seattle. Brantley is batting .330 with two long balls, 17 RBIs and 15 runs scored over his last 27 games.
Masterson struck out a season-high 11 in seven shutout innings and Michael Brantley hit a three-run homer and drove in four runs off Felix Hernandez as Cleveland toppled yet another former Cy Young Award winner on Sunday with a 6-0 victory over the Seattle Mariners. Masterson allowed three singles, easily outdueled Hernandez and ran his consecutive scoreless innings streak to 19. He shut out the New York Yankees 1-0 on four hits in his previous outing.
Daisuke Matsuzaka (oblique) is expected to be activated from the disabled list with Triple-A Columbus in 2-4 weeks. Matsuzaka has been out since April 28, but the Indians believe he'll be pitching again "in weeks, not months." In five Triple-A starts, Matsuzaka has a 24/18 K/BB ratio and 3.92 ERA. If he can show that he's healthy, Matsuzaka could be an option for the Indians' rotation at some point this season.
Justin Masterson struck out a season-high 11 batters while tossing seven scoreless frames in Sunday's 6-0 win over the Mariners. Masterson permitted just three singles, walked a pair and hit a batter. The brilliant outing comes on the heels of a shutout of the Yankees, and he has now won seven games on the year. The big right-hander is looking much more like the 2011 version and in fact has been even better to this point. He'll bring a 2.83 ERA and 1.13 WHIP into Boston next weekend.
Michael Brantley had an RBI single and a three-run homer in Sunday's win over the Mariners. The longball came in the second inning off of Felix Hernandez. It's just the second homer of the season for Brantley, who was hitting third in the batting order. The outfielder has now driven in 19 while hitting .301 as he quietly puts together a nice season.
The Indians expect right-hander Daisuke Matsuzaka to pitch again in the minor leagues within the next month after an oblique injury sidelined him. Matsuzaka has been out since April 28, when he hurt his side while pitching for Triple-A Columbus. Indians vice president Ross Atkins said Sunday that the Japanese right-hander is progressing, and he believes Matsuzaka will be pitching again "in weeks, not months." Matsuzaka signed a minor-league contract in February and was given a chance to win a job in Cleveland's rotation during spring training. But he was beaten out.
Reynolds went 2 for 5 with a solo homer and three RBIs in Cleveland's 5-4 win over Seattle on Saturday. Reynolds, batting .268 with 12 homers and 37 RBIs, was 5 for 33 (.152) in his previous 11 games.

Since May 2, Ryan Raburn is batting an anemic .172/.273/.241 over 33 plate appearances. Raburn lived a charmed life in April, slashing .320/.370/.620 in the season's opening month. The wheels have come off since he went 4-for-5 against the Phillies on May 1. Since that time, he's seen his OPS deflate from 1.061 to .871 with no signs of slowing. Raburn began losing playing time when Michael Bourne returned, but there was hope he'd grab some playing time following the demotion of Lonnie Chisenhall. ESPN Fantasy reports that Raburn has been dropped from 35.6% of baseball leagues over the past week. He's now owned in just 32.1%, a number that's still too high.
Mark Reynolds went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, an RBI single and a walk-off fielder's choice in Saturday's win over the Mariners. Reynolds drove in three runs on the day. The fielder's choice came with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth, as catcher Jesus Montero was unable to keep his foot on home plate on a throw from shortstop Brendan Ryan. Reynolds has been one of the AL's most productive hitters thus far, batting .268/.354/.580 through 40 games. He's tied with the Yankees' Robinson Cano for the American League lead with 12 homers.
Chris Perez blew his second save of the season Saturday against the Mariners. Perez entered the top of the ninth with a 4-2 lead, but he coughed it up after giving up back-to-back solo homers to Raul Ibanez and Justin Smoak with two outs. The Indians eventually won the game on a fielder's choice in the bottom of the ninth, so Perez actually ended up with the victory. See, it wasn't all bad for Perez owners. The 27-year-old right-hander recently dealt with some shoulder soreness and has shown diminished velocity on his fastball this season, but he owns a 1.80 ERA and 16/5 K/BB ratio over 15 innings. Vinnie Pestano just returned from an elbow injury, so there's no immediate threat to his job.
Zach McAllister turned in another strong outing Saturday, allowing two runs over 7 1/3 innings in a no-decision. McAllister held the Mariners off the board until Brendan Ryan took him deep in the top of the eighth. The 25-year-old right-hander only notched one strikeout, but was very efficient, allowing six hits and walking just one batter. Unfortunately, Chris Perez cost him a chance at the victory. McAllister has allowed two runs or fewer in four straight starts and now has a 2.65 ERA on the year. It might be time to take him seriously in mixed leagues.
Bourn had three hits in the Indians' 6-3 victory in 10 innings over Seattle on Friday night. Bourn, batting .304 in 17 contests, was 3 for 19 (.158) with seven strikeouts in his first six games back from a lacerated right hand.
Kipnis' three-run homer in the 10th inning gave the Cleveland Indians a 6-3 win over the Seattle Mariners on Friday night. Kipnis has driven in three runs in each of the last two games, and he's 10 for 31 (.323) with four homers and 12 RBIs in his last eight contests.
Jason Kipnis blasted a three-run walkoff homer in the tenth inning on Friday, powering the Indians to a 6-3 victory over the Mariners. Kipnis finished the night 2-for-4 with a run scored and three RBI, and was also caught stealing. After the first two hitters were retired in the tenth, Drew Stubbs walked and Michael Bourn reached on an infield single before Kipnis' dramatic blast off Lucas Luetge. He's really picked it up once the calendar flipped to May, hitting .295 (18-for-61) with six homers and 19 RBI on the month.
Ubaldo Jimenez delivered another strong effort in a no-decision against the Mariners on Friday, surrendering two runs on seven hits over his five frames. Jimenez racked up nine strikeouts on the evening while walking two. Unfortunately for Jimenez, Rich Hill came on in the sixth inning and immediately surrendered his 3-1 lead. Over his last four outings, he's compiled a 1.90 ERA and 29/8 K/BB ratio over 23 2/3 innings. While he's unlikely to continue at this pace, he's certainly usable in all fantasy formats for the time being. He'll look to get back in the win column when he takes on the Tigers at home on Wednesday.

Corey Kluber surrendered three runs in six innings Wednesday in a victory over the Phillies. So, it turns out that Kluber is pretty good when he doesn't walk anyone or allow homers. He's put up zeroes in both categories in both of his wins this year, but he's walked six and allowed three homers in his two losses. Of course, this is true of every pitcher. Kluber just has less margin for error than most.
Michael Bourn is not in Wednesday's lineup against the Phillies. The hot-hitting Michael Brantley is also getting the day off. Drew Stubbs is starting in center field while Ryan Raburn plays left.
Scott Kazmir was knocked around for four runs on six hits and two walks over five innings in Tuesday's loss to the Phillies. Kevin Frandsen took Kazmir deep in the first inning, and Domonic Brown provided the knockout blow with a longball to lead off the sixth. The lefty hit a pair of batters and threw 96 pitches in the five-plus innings. The outing takes a little helium out of the Kazmir balloon, but he was still sitting comfortably around 93-94 mph and remains intriguing in fantasy leagues. He'll try to bounce back next week against the Mariners.
Indians manager Terry Francona said Mark Reynolds "will get the majority of the time at third" base following the demotion of Lonnie Chisenhall. Reynolds is making his third straight start at the position Tuesday since Chisenhall's demotion. He offers below average defense at the hot corner, but with the way he's swinging the bat, the Indians don't really care. Having Reynolds at third should ultimately mostly help Ryan Raburn and Jason Giambi get more playing time. Mike Aviles will also see some starts at the hot corner
Brett Myers (elbow) threw around 45 pitches Tuesday in a bullpen session at Citizens Bank Park. Myers could be cleared to make a rehab start this weekend if he wakes up Wednesday with no abnormal discomfort. The right-hander has been on the disabled list since April 21 with a mild tear of the UCL in his elbow. The Indians could ask him to make multiple rehab starts.
Blake Wood (elbow) will continue his minor league rehab assignment Wednesday with Class A Lake County. Wood felt some soreness in his surgically-repaired elbow during his first appearance on Saturday, but it was only a minor scare. The 27-year-old right-hander is currently in recovery mode from Tommy John surgery and will likely need a handful of appearances before he's a legitimate consideration for the major league roster.
Masterson was masterful Monday in a 7-0 win over the Yanks in the first game of a doubleheader. Masterson gave up four singles and set a career high with his second complete game. The right-hander overpowered the AL East leaders for his third career shutout and second this year following a blanking of the Chicago White Sox on April 12.
Bauer was on the short end Monday in a 7-0 loss to the Yanks in the second game of a doubleheader. Bauer allowed three runs over 6 1-3 innings. He is considered a rising star in the organization but may need some more seasoning in the minors before he is ready to produce in fantasy baseball.
Reynolds went 0 for 5 with two walks Monday as the Tribe and Yanks split a doubleheader. Reynolds failed to drive in a run, leaving him still with 32 for fifth in the majors. It's a tough blow for fantasy owners who figured a DH would be a perfect opportunity to clean house with Reynolds, but stellar Yankees pitching prevented that from happening.
Swisher went 2 for 7 on Monday as the Tribe and Yanks split a doubleheader. Swisher is 5 for 13 this year against his former team.
Justin Masterson hurled a brilliant four-hit shutout as the Indians won the first half of Monday's traditional doubleheader against the Yankees by a score of 1-0. Masterson issued three walks but countered that with nine strikeouts. The victory pushed him to 6-2 on the season, and he's sporting a strong 3.14 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 60/24 K/BB ratio in 63 innings. The right-hander is an obvious must-start next time out against Seattle.
Jason Kipnis hit his fifth home run as the Indians won the first half of Monday's doubleheader with the Yankees. Kipnis has four home runs and 13 RBI in 12 games this month and could be emerging out of his early-season slump. He's a nice buy-low candidate in fantasy leagues.

Indians optioned 3B Lonnie Chisenhall to Triple-A Columbus. Chisenhall opened the 2013 season as the Indians' everyday third baseman but batted just .213/.253/.351 with 22 strikeouts over his first 99 plate appearances. The 24-year-old should work his way back up eventually. Mark Reynolds is starting at third base Monday and could see semi-regular playing time there with Mike Aviles.
Chris Perez felt some soreness in his right shoulder while throwing warmup pitches on Sunday. Perez alerted bullpen coach Kevin Cash and was not brought into the game. "Missing a day here is better than missing two months," Perez told reporters on Sunday evening. "I might've pitched in the past. ... I always want to pitch." The right-handed closer expects to be available for Monday's doubleheader against the Yankees.
Jimenez limited the Tigers to one run and three hits while throwing six innings in Cleveland's 7-6 win over Detroit on Saturday. Jimenez has won each of his last three starts while holding opponents to three runs in 18 2-3 innings. He also has 20 strikeouts during that stretch.
Cabrera was 3 for 5 with two RBIs in Cleveland's 7-6 win over Detroit on Saturday. Cabrera seems to be finding his groove after a slow start to the season, going 23 of 71 (.324) with 14 RBIs over the last 19 games. He's raised his average from .118 to .238 over that stretch.
Zach McAllister permitted three runs -- two earned -- on eight hits and three walks over six frames in Sunday's 4-3 extra innings win over the Tigers. It wasn't McAllister's best effort, as he allowed a lot of baserunners, but he was able to limit the damage for the most part and kept his team close enough so that they could eventually come back to win. The big right-hander still hasn't surrendered more than three earned runs in a start this season. He'll get the Mariners next.
With Chris Perez unavailable, Cody Allen nailed down his first career save by striking out the only batter he faced in Sunday's win over the Tigers. Indians manager Terry Francona decided to give Perez some rest since he threw 22 pitches the previous night. After southpaw Rich Hill retired the first two batters in the 10th, Allen came on to strike out Matt Tuiasosopo to end it. Vinnie Pestano is on the DL and Joe Smith had already pitched, so Allen is still probably, at best, fourth in line for saves in Cleveland.
Michael Brantley went 2-for-4 with a game-tying RBI single in Sunday's comeback win over the Tigers. Brantley lined a 1-1 fastball from Jose Valverde into left field to score the speedy Michael Bourn from second base. He had another single and a walk earlier in the game and is now sporting a .306 batting mark for the season.
Asdrubal Cabrera went 3-for-5 with two RBI on Saturday, leading the Indians to a 7-6 defeat of the Tigers. Cabrera laced an RBI double to right field in the second inning to put the Tribe on top 3-0, then added an RBI single in the sixth to increase the lead to 5-1. He still has a disappointing .238/.301/.426 batting line this season, but there could be positive results ahead.
Chris Perez worked out of a jam in the ninth inning Saturday against the Tigers to earn his sixth save. Perez got into a sticky situation after Brayan Pena reached on an error and Omar Infante singled with one out. Austin Jackson then reached on a fielder's choice and a Torii Hunter RBI single pulled the Tigers to within a run. Perez bore down, though, and retired Miguel Cabrera to end the madness. The Indians haven't provided Perez with many save chances this year, but the right-hander has done his job when provided the opportunity. He has a 0.69 ERA and 14/5 K/BB ratio in 13 innings.
Ubaldo Jimenez delivered another strong performance in Saturday night's victory over the Tigers, allowing just one run on three hits over his six innings. Jimenez struck out eight hitters for the second straight outing and issued just one walk. After a brutal beginning to the 2013 campaign, the right-hander has won three consecutive starts while allowing just three earned runs in 18 2/3 total innings. The overall numbers still look ugly, but he's a decent spot play right now in mixed fantasy formats.
The Indians are expected to keep Michael Bourn out of Sunday's lineup to give him a day of rest. Activated from the disabled list on Friday, Bourn started the first two games of the Indians' weekend series against the Tigers. And now the brakes will be pumped. Drew Stubbs is expected to start in center field.
Kluber was clubbed Friday in a 10-4 loss to Detroit. Kluber was overmatched as he allowed eight runs and 11 hits in 4 2-3 innings.

Corey Kluber had a very rough outing in Friday's loss to the Tigers, surrendering eight runs on 11 hits in only 4 2/3 innings. Kluber walked a pair and struck out four on the evening. The Tigers powerful offense jumped all over him early and often, with Prince Fielder and Miguel Cabrera each leaving the yard. He'll head into Wednesday's start against the Phillies in Philadelphia with an uninspiring 5.64 ERA and 1.52 WHIP over his first 22 1/3 innings. He remains a poor option at best in most fantasy formats.
Nick Swisher had a very productive night in Friday's loss to the Tigers, going 3-for-4 with a double, triple, two runs scored and an RBI. Swisher got the Tribe on the board in the first inning with an RBI double, but that's the last lead they would hold on in the game. The veteran outfielder is having another very solid season, hitting .275 with five homers and 13 RBI through his first 108 at-bats.
Trevor Bauer is expected to be recalled from Triple-A Columbus to start the second game of Monday's doubleheader against the Yankees. Bauer fared pretty well in his last start for the Tribe, allowing just one hit over five scoreless innings the Phillies. The downside, as has often been the issue with Bauer, was his command as he issued six walks in the contest. He's an exceptional talent, but will need to learn to throw strikes more consistently before he earns a regular role in the Indians' rotation.
Jason Kipnis, Mark Reynolds and Swisher all went deep and Scott Kazmir threw six strong innings as the Indians completed a four-game sweep of Oakland with Thursday's 9-2 victory. Swisher is just 5 for 22 over the last six days, but three of those hits have left the yard.
Kazmir struck out 10 in six innings, leading Cleveland to a 9-2 win over Oakland on Thursday and a four-game sweep of the Athletics. Kazmir (2-1), who at this time last year wasn't even pitching professionally, allowed one run and five hits. The left-hander has won consecutive starts for the first time since 2010. "I'm not thinking about last year or what happened before that," he said. "I'm looking ahead. I'm throwing the ball well right now. I'm feeling better every time out."
Reynolds went 2 for 3 with a two-run homer Thursday in a 9-2 win over Oakland. Reynolds, a career .237 hitter, is now batting .291 with 11 homers and 29 RBIs. While he may be able to sustain the power, fantasy owners should expect Reynolds' average to drop quite a bit as the season wears on.
Vinnie Pestano (elbow) is eyeing a return on May 17. Pestano will resume throwing on Sunday and is scheduled for one rehab appearance next Wednesday. Assuming they go well, he'll be activated on May 17.
Lou Marson (shoulder) has been cleared to begin a throwing program. Marson has been on the DL for nearly two weeks with right shoulder inflammation. He should be cleared for a rehab assignment soon as long as his throwing goes well.
Blake Wood's rehab assignment has been halted after he felt soreness in his surgically-repaired right elbow in his first appearance with Double-A Akron on Saturday. Wood will resume the assignment once the soreness subsides. It's obviously not ideal, but pitchers often encounter little bumps in the road as they work their way back from Tommy John surgery.
Indians activated OF Michael Bourn from the 15-day disabled list. The move was made official Thursday afternoon after left-hander Scott Barnes was sent down to Triple-A Columbus. Bourn has been sidelined since April 14 due to a laceration on his right index finger, but he's finally back to 100 percent. Be sure to activate the speedster in fantasy leagues.

The speedster was batting .333/.375/.600 with two homers, seven runs scored and one stolen base in 10 games before suffering the gash on a slide into first base.
Scott Kazmir struck out 10 hitters Thursday as the Indians routed the A's 9-2 in Cleveland. Kazmir was absolutely fantastic, yielding only one run throughout afternoon -- a solo shot in the sixth inning by A's third baseman Josh Donaldson. The left-hander allowed only five hits in all and struck out 10, throwing 72 of his 103 pitches for strikes. He has been on a roll since his rough April 20 debut and needs to be scooped up in all standard fantasy leagues.
