TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) Aric Brooks scored 16 points and Morgan State defeated Florida A&M 74-68 on Thursday night.

The Bears (9-19, 6-10 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) shot 53.5 percent from the field (23 of 43), and had 12 assists.

Justin Black added 12 points and Shaquille Duncan 10 for Morgan State, which won its second in a row and four out of its last five.

Brooks and Black both made seven free throws with Brooks shooting perfect from the line and Black missing just one. The Bears were 24 of 29 from the free-throw line.

Florida A&M (8-22, 6-10) shot 37.7 percent from the field (23 of 61) and trailed 48-35 at halftime.

Amin Stevens scored 32 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the Rattlers, who lost their third straight and fifth out of their last six.
