Oswaldo Arcia RF - MIN:
May 24, 10:11PM: Twins option...
Twins optioned OF Oswaldo Arcia to Triple-A Rochester. Despite an 0-for-3 effort on Friday, the 22-year-old rookie made a very strong impression during his short time with the Twins. Through his first 30 games, he hit .255/.318/.449 with four homers and 14 RBI. He had struggled to find consistent at-bats in recent days though, and the Twins would likely prefer him playing on a nightly basis at the Triple-A level. Ryan Doumit should see an increase in playing time.

Roy Oswalt SP - COL:
May 24, 10:03PM: Oswalt struggles...
Roy Oswalt struggled in his rehab start for Double-A Tulsa on Friday, surrendering three runs on four hits over his five innings of work. Oswalt walked three and struck out three in the game. He threw 44 of his 72 pitches for strikes in the game, but did serve up a pair of home runs. He's expected to need another three minor league starts before he's ready to join the Rockies rotation. He could be worth a flyer in deeper mixed leagues.

Jordan Zimmermann SP - WAS:
May 24, 10:00PM: Zimmermann...
Jordan Zimmermann became the National League's first eight-game winner after allowing two runs in seven innings Friday in a 5-2 victory over the Phillies. Zimmermann didn't have his best stuff, but still managed to keep the Phillies in check. All told, he gave up six hits while striking out one and walking none. Zimmermann has allowed more than two runs in a start just once this season and his ERA sits at a stingy 1.71 on the year. He'll look to keep it going in an interleague matchup against the Orioles next week.

Kyle Kendrick SP - PHI:
May 24, 9:59PM: Kyle Kendrick...
Kyle Kendrick was tagged for five runs in five innings Friday in a loss to the Nationals. Kendrick allowed an army of baserunners, giving up eight hits and walking four. After posting a 1.84 ERA over his previous seven starts, he has allowed nine runs in 11 innings over his last two. He'll look to get back on track next week against the Red Sox.

Steve Lombardozzi 2B - WAS:
May 24, 9:58PM: Lombardozzi has...
Steve Lombardozzi went 3-for-4 with a two-run double in Friday's win over the Phillies. The three-hit night pulled his batting average up from .220 to .242 on the year. With Danny Espinosa (wrist) ailing, Lombardozzi should get regular playing time at second base over the next few days. He doesn't excel in any one category, but with his multi-position eligibility, he could be useful in deeper mixed fantasy leagues.

Michael Young 3B - PHI:
May 24, 9:57PM: Michael Young...
Michael Young was hitless in four at-bats in Friday and has just one RBI over his last 14 games. Young has a decent .280 batting average to go along with a .378 on-base percentage, but he has done little else to help in fantasy leagues. Through 47 games, he has just one home run to go along with 10 RBI. With his penchant for ground balls (he had three ground outs on Friday), we're not banking on a power resurgence.

David Phelps RP,SP - NYY:
May 24, 9:55PM: Phelps leaves...
David Phelps was removed in the eighth inning of Friday's game against the Rays after being drilled by a line drive on the right forearm. It's a very tough break for Phelps who had pitched fairly well in the game. He logged a career-high 7 2/3 innings, allowing four runs on six hits while striking out three. He retired the first 13 hitters he faced on the night before James Loney doubled with one out in the fifth. The Yankees should have an update on his status after the conclusion of the game.
