Tashard Choice RB - DAL:
Cowboys field offers...
Sep 4, 1:26AM
Calvin Watkins of ESPN Dallas reports that the Cowboys are fielding trade offers from teams about Marion Barber and Tashard Choice. Watkins cites "multiple sources," but one source tells ESPN's Matt Mosley that the team will not trade Barber. It's interesting to note that the story does not downplay the possibility of Choice being dealt. Though a trade seems unlikely, Dallas is in wheeling-and-dealing mode, having sent away Patrick Crayton and Pat McQuistan on Friday. Check back Saturday for an update.

Marion Barber RB - DAL:
Cowboys officials say...
Sep 4, 1:11AM
Cowboys officials shot down rumors Friday night that Marion Barber was on the trade block. Team officials say there have "been no substantive talks" involving Barber, with the Dallas Morning News adding "he is not close to being traded and the club isn't looking to move him." We'll know for sure by Saturday night.

Elvis Dumervil LB - DEN:
Dumervil's season is...
Sep 4, 1:09AM
Dumervil's season is officially sacked. The Denver Broncos had been holding out hope the league's top sacker would make a quicker than anticipated recovery from a torn chest muscle and return to action in December. Dumervil, however, posted a message on his Twitter account Friday night that confirmed an NFL.com report he'll be going on injured reserve, ending his season.

Sep 4, 1:08AM
Indianapolis police say Moala has been arrested for driving while intoxicated, public intoxication and speeding. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says Moala was stopped at 2:31 a.m. Friday after an officer noticed his vehicle speeding. A police report says the 25-year-old Moala admitted to an officer that he had "five or six drinks" at a club.

Charlie Batch QB - PIT:
Batch 'likely' to start...
Sep 4, 12:22AM
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette calls it "likely" that Charlie Batch will be the Steelers' Week 1 starter versus Atlanta. Several other outlets have considered Dennis Dixon the probable starter, but the Post-Gazette is sticking by its guns that Batch will get the nod. Even before Byron Leftwich's MCL injury, coach Mike Tomlin promised to not show his cards prior to the opener. We may be in the dark until September 12. If Batch does start, Dixon will be used as a "package" player off the bench.

T.J. Houshmandzadeh WR - SEA:
Report: 4 teams make...
Sep 4, 12:14AM
Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports that four teams -- the Vikings, Jets, Cardinals, and Chargers -- have trade offers on the table for T.J. Houshmandzadeh. Reedy is an excellent beat reporter, but we'd caution that the source for this story may be a Seahawks front office member (or even Houshmandzadeh's agent) in an attempt to create a market for the 33-year-old receiver. The Cardinals and Jets definitely don't need another wideout, the Minneapolis Star-Tribune has reported -- citing several sources -- that the Vikings do not have interest, and the Chargers just acquired Patrick Crayton. Adding in the Redskins or Raiders would've made the story sound more realistic.

Mitch Unrein DE - HOU:
Texans waive several...
Sep 3, 11:41PM
Texans waived DT Mitch Unrein, C/G Chris White, WR Bobby Williams, and S Torri Williams. The Texans' final roster is just about set. White started eight games last year, but Houston is going young on the line (and at most positions). Both of the Williamses were undrafted free agents, as well as Unrein.
