Brandon Belt 1B - SF:
May 22, 2:24PM: Belt out...
Brandon Belt is out of Wednesday's lineup due to back tightness. It isn't a major concern, but Giants manager Bruce Bochy didn't want to take any chances. Consider him day-to-day for now. Brett Pill is filling in at first base Wednesday.

Rafael Betancourt RP - COL:
May 22, 2:18PM: Rafael Betancourt...
Rafael Betancourt (groin) will not require a trip to the disabled list. Betancourt left Tuesday's game with a tight right groin, but it's merely some scar tissue from a previous injury. He was given anti-inflammatory medication and could be back in there as soon as Friday. Rex Brothers and Wilton Lopez could be in the mix for save chances until he's ready to go, but it doesn't sound like he'll have a lengthy absence.

Matt Joyce RF - TB:
May 22, 1:42PM: Joyce (hammy) out...
Matt Joyce is not in Wednesday's lineup against the Blue Jays. Joyce left Tuesday's game with right hamstring tightness, so it's not a surprise that he's not ready to play for the afternoon game. However, it's not known how much time he'll need to miss. Sean Rodriguez is playing right field Wednesday.

Pablo Sandoval 3B - SF:
May 22, 1:39PM: Sandoval out...
Pablo Sandoval is out of Wednesday's lineup against the Nationals due to illness. Tuesday's hero should be back in there following Thursday's scheduled off-day. Joaquin Arias will make the start at the hot corner.

Jose Molina C - TB:
May 22, 1:34PM: Jose Molina...
Jose Molina (hamstring) is back in Wednesday's lineup against the Blue Jays. Molina hasn't played since Saturday due to a tight left hamstring. The Rays are hoping that the issue is behind him.

Adam Eaton CF - ARI:
May 22, 1:18PM: Adam Eaton has...
Adam Eaton is dealing with renewed soreness in his left elbow and has returned to Phoenix for an examination. Bad news. Eaton, who was diagnosed with a sprained ulnar collateral ligament in March, began playing in rehab games earlier this month and felt well enough to return to center field last week. However, the pain has returned. The worst-case scenario would be season-ending Tommy John surgery, but it's not clear if that's a consideration yet. But it's obviously a concern.

Miguel Montero C - ARI:
May 22, 1:15PM: Miguel Montero...
Miguel Montero is not in the Diamondbacks' lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rockies. The struggling backstop is getting a rest with the early start time. Wil Nieves will make the start behind the plate.
