Jake Bequette DE - NE:
May 25, 8:38PM: Patriots haven't...
ESPN Boston expects second-year DE Jake Bequette to have a role similiar to Rob Ninkovich in the Patriots' defense. Bequette was only active for three games as a rookie, but he hasn't completely fallen out of New England's plans. With Ninkovich entering a contract year, it's possible he could eventually find his way into playing time as a situational pass rusher. Bequette played just 29 snaps in 2012.

Devin McCourty CB - NE:
May 25, 7:53PM: Patriots not...
ESPN Boston doesn't consider FS Devin McCourty a candidate for a contract extension McCourty is signed through 2014, so there's no rush to get a long-term deal done. The Patriots can let McCourty play out this year before they open extension talks. McCourty started all 16 games last season, recording 82 tackles, five interceptions and one forced fumble.

Tony Moeaki TE - KC:
May 25, 7:19PM: Moeaki (knee)...
Chiefs TE Tony Moeaki (left knee scope) is questionable for training camp. Moeaki has already been ruled out for OTAs, and his status for camp remains up in the air. His roster spot won't be guaranteed after the Chiefs drafted third-round pick Travis Kelce and signed Anthony Fasano this offseason. Moeaki is due $1.32 million in 2013, the final year of his rookie contract.

Kareem Jackson CB - HOU:
May 25, 6:13PM: Kareem Jackson...
Texans LCB Kareem Jackson reported to OTAs at 208 pounds, 16 pounds heavier than his listed playing weight last season. As the Houston Chronicle's Lance Zierlein points out, that's far too heavy for a 5-foot-10 cornerback. The Texans will likely want Jackson to get back under 200 by the time training camp rolls around. Jackson graded out as Pro Football Focus' No. 13 corner last season, and he's entering his fourth year.

Jared Cook TE - STL:
May 25, 5:21PM: Bradford, Cook...
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports Sam Bradford and Jared Cook are "clicking" at OTAs. With the additions of Zac Stacy, Tavon Austin, and Stedman Bailey via the draft and all of the hype surrounding second-year WR Brian Quick, Cook seems to have become the forgotten man in St. Louis after signing a five-year, $35.11 million contract. Cook is expected to be a "huge part" of the offense, and it wouldn't surprise us if he led the team in receiving yards and touchdowns.

Tashaun Gipson S - CLE:
May 25, 4:54PM: Tashaun Gipson...
The Cleveland Plain Dealer confirms that Tashaun Gipson has the "early lead" for the Browns' free safety job. Sixth-round pick Jamoris Slaughter (Achilles') will be "worked in" once he's healthy, but we don't expect him to have a legitimate shot at landing the starting job as a rookie. Johnson Bademosi and Buster Skrine have also seen time at the safety spot next to T.J. Ward. Gipson started three games last season.

Julius Thomas TE - DEN:
May 25, 4:21PM: Important...
DenverBroncos.com's Gray Caldwell calls this offseason "probably as important" for TE Julius Thomas as anyone on the roster. Thomas, a 2011 fourth-round pick out of Portland State, drew early comparisons to Jimmy Graham, but he's dealt with injuries and only appeared in nine games. He has just one career catch for five yards. Thomas will compete for a roster spot, but we wouldn't expect major contributions this season. He's still just 24 years old, so he could be worth rostering in dynasty.
